It's always disturbed me to see people from colonizer lands expressing no empathy for people from colonized lands, only to summon an abundance of compassion for animals. In this video, I explore this odd phenomenon, why it might be so prevalent, and how it can impact minorities. I think about this topic a lot, so alhamdulillah, I'm so happy to be able to put it into words today. Please continue to pick up the slack of Western journalists; while they provide cover for the Zionists' genocide, don't stop talking about Palestine and spreading empathy for humans experiencing manmade suffering and tremendous oppression; all of our conversations and prayers can amount to real changes in the world insha'Allah. Greetings to you, Sister!! This was so good to listen to. I am from a colonizer's country and live there. It has been disgusting for me for a long time, the indifference, non-empathy towards children (of other families) and just people. The superficiality. The disgusting outrageous contrast tying that knot in my gut when observing them interacting with dogs in such an overwhelmingly warm manner. Prioritizing the dog and its needs and its I don't know whats in an astonishing manner. Through the internet I got to learn about Palestine in July 2023 mostly via @uncilized media on youtube an @EyesonPalestine on IG. (I do hate mainstream media since I can remember so have not been following along that road) I felt like I had been hit allover my body upon my family's reaction when I was telling them about the struggle for the Palestinian liberation and how WE and NOBODY can EVER be REALLY well, if Palestinians aren't well. Your thoughts in the video about them connecting with the animal INSTEAD of the human because of the perceived innocence of the animal made me get to the following understanding: fellow humans TRIGGER such people. And yes, they DO NOT CARE BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY CAN AFFORD TO NOT CARE. Because they have the privilege (for now). I feel this is one of the core reasons for empires to fall. Disconnect always disassembles. I do not know actually how to break through that wall. Is there really no possible reversal-even a tiny bit- of the brainwashing fueled by the worldwide israely lobby machinery that aims to specifically spread Zionism with all its Islamophobia?
